Posture Sequence to Try
Yoga to Reduce Stress
by Andrea Sandhu, RYT®200
Balance poses can help you focus your scattered mind leaving you feeling calmer, less stressed and better able to tackle the tasks at hand.
The holidays are supposed to be a time of joy and happiness but they can also be a time of stress. Do you ever have those days when you have so many tasks on your to-do list that it seems your mind is running at a thousand miles a minute and you can't do anything quick enough to catch up to it? After warming up the spine and bringing your attention to the breath, perform the following sequence of postures, taking 3-8 full belly breaths for each pose.
- Mountain
- Tree
- Standing Twist
- Warrior III
- Standing Forward Fold
- Downward Facing Dog
- Savasana
